2023 Disability History Essay Contest - Enter Now!

We are pleased to announce the West Virginia Disability History Essay Contest is back for 2023! This contest is designed to provide high school seniors with an opportunity to showcase their writing skills, share what they have learned about the Disability Rights Movement, use their ability to form and express opinions, and perhaps to earn some money to help them into the future! All WV high school seniors are invited to submit an entry. Monetary awards will be given to the winners.

The top award will be presented to the state winner, and awards may be presented to first-place and second-place entries from each of the six Districts of our state. The awards are as follows:

State Winner $3,250
District First Place $1,750
District Second Place $1,000
