Ann McDaniel, Executive Director
Ann Watts McDaniel is the original executive director hired by the Council in November 1996, and has been through every project and change the Council has encountered. Ann is responsible for all operations of the SILC, managing the staff and the office, collaborating with SILC partners, maintaining the relationship with the Division of Rehabilitation Services as well as the Centers for Independent Living, and ensuring council members have the information they need to make good decisions, manage the corporation, and meet their responsibilities under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended.
She also maintains the SILC's state and national collaborations and relationships. During FY 2013, she served as a trainer for two national Teleconferences/Webinars. She also has served as a peer mentor and provided training and strategic planning assistance to other SILCs.
Kathi Young, Office Manager
Hired in 1998, Kathi has been with the SILC through many projects and changes. She is responsible for bookkeeping and coordinating the daily operations of the SILC office. Kathi also provides administrative support to the executive director, the SILC and its committees.
Kathi's initiative and flexibility have been true assets. She has established strong working relationships with our partners and vendors, handling the logistics of everything from the printing of business cards to travel arrangements for council members.
Jerry Boyko, Program Assistant
Jerry is our Program Assistant and the newest member of our team, joining in 2014. He provides staff support to the Ron Yost Personal Assistance Services Program (RYPAS) and organizes and maintains all RYPAS client information. He also manages and updates the WVSILC website, layout and publication of the SILC Newsletter and SILC Annual Report, and Grant Research.
His duties also include daily office tasks, such as answering phones, logging and distributing all office mail, organization and maintaining office files and supplies, and managing SILC email correspondence.
